Lillie Lodge

Our Accommodation

Rooms that embrace the wilderness

Lillie Lodge can host up to 15 guests in five uniquely designed en-suite rooms, each blending natural elements with thoughtful comfort. The thatched-roof lodge incorporates granite boulders directly into its rooms, bringing the koppie indoors in dramatic and beautiful ways. At night, the rocks glow softly with gentle lighting, while private balconies open to endless views of the Lowveld or the sculpted granite. Each suite has been crafted with character and intimacy, ensuring that no two stays are alike — yet all carry the same sense of sanctuary.

Features include:

  • En-suite bedrooms with modern amenities.
  • Natural granite boulders integrated into interiors, creating a unique sense of place.
  • Private verandas with expansive views over the reserve.
  • Air-conditioning for year-round comfort.

Eagle’s Nest

The lodge’s main suite — spacious, elegant, and private. It features a cozy fireplace, a shower with a view, a sitting nook, and a private balcony opening south across the reserve. Huge windows frame the granite boulders, softly lit at night, bringing the koppie inside.

Francolin’s Rest

A light-filled room with a shower tucked beside the granite, a sitting nook, and a private balcony overlooking the forest. Expansive windows invite the green of the bush inside, with granite glowing warmly after dark.

Knuckle’s View

Named after the series of koppies resembling a clenched fist, this wooden cabin offers unmatched panoramas. Enjoy a private balcony with vistas toward the Knuckles, an indoor and outdoor shower, and a bath. The room is framed by huge windows on both sides — granite boulders lit at night on one, open views of the Knuckles on the other.

Klipspringer Retreat

Perched high on the koppie, Klipspringer Retreat stands in quiet solitude, a wooden cabin shaped for peace and privacy. Named after the graceful pair of klipspringers that roam the rocks and are often seen from its balcony, it feels part of the land itself. Inside, a bath and shower invite slow moments of comfort; outside, beneath the granite boulders, another shower opens to the sky. Expansive windows draw in the view, where golden light drifts across stone and horizon.

Dassie’s Lair

This intimate wooden cabin faces east and south, with a private balcony that catches the sunrise and overlooks the reserve. Inside, there’s a bath and shower, while outside, a granite-framed shower blends bathing with nature. Dassies bask on the sun-warmed rocks just outside, making this suite truly their lair as well as yours.

Available for exclusive-use stays, the lodge is perfectly suited to families, or groups seeking privacy, comfort, and immersion in the wilderness.
